With the start of the third quarter the ‘Noles had the ball moving down field. Davis had a great run which the Texans caused a fumble, the ‘Noles running back Colin Wendelken picked it up at the 30 and started to run the opposite direction before he was able to be rerouted to the correct end zone for a touchdown. The Noles defense held strong the rest of the game to record a second straight shutout. The PW ‘Noles look to keep their win streak alive next week against the South Houston Wildcats.

Pee Wee
The Pee Wee Seminoles put a W in the win column in their season opener by beating the Friendswood Colts 20-0. They look to go to 2-0 when they take on the Manvel Texans next week in Deer Park.

Freshman
The Freshman Seminoles opened their season with a big team victory over the Friendswood Colts at the friendly confines of Abshire Stadium. The Seminoles started the game sluggish, but quickly fell into their game by the second possession, scoring on a 51-yard sweep from Haden LaFrenz. The Colts scored on the following possession knotting the score at seven apiece. That was it in the scoring column for the Colts as the Seminole defense ‘ponied’ up for the challenge and kept the Colt offense at bay the rest of the game. Peyton Smith accounted for the next score for the Seminoles in the first half on a 63-yard run, making the score 13-7 at the break. The second half is where the game began to really click for the Freshman Seminoles as they scored 20 unanswered points for a final score of 33-7 in the opener. LaFrenz accounted for three scores on the day followed by another two from Smith. Both backs credit their offensive line for the upfront blocking. Defensively, it was an all-out gang tackling effort, led by Aandon Schroeder. The Freshman Seminoles will work diligently this week in preparation for game two at home against the Manvel Texans.
