Deer Park City Council unanimously passed all items on its Tuesday agenda in a short, but busy regular meeting. Among the items on the agenda was setting a joint public hearing with the Planning and Zoning Commission for May 16 regarding the controversial rezoning of the southwest corner of the intersection of Luella and East Pasadena Boulevard.

The workshop begins at 6:30 p.m., with the agenda meeting at 7:30 p.m. During the meeting, council will take action on a resolution fighting against proposed higher rates from CenterPoint Energy.
