Rodney Lee CampbellRodney Lee Campbell was born April 8, 1933 in Lynchburg, Va. God sent His angles to take him home in the predawn of January 31, 2018 at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 23 days. Rod served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956 with a tour of duty from 1953-1954 on a world cruise aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Tarawa as an Aviation Ordinance 3rd Class. Upon his discharge, he remained in the Naval Reserves until 1960. Rod was employed by Sears Roebuck and Company for 26 years from April 1970 until retirement in April 1996. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason.

Haney in LaRue, Henderson County, Texas on July 1, 1932. During her lifetime she was a loving wife and mother. After her retirement from Macy's credit department in 1999, she volunteered at St. Pius V Catholic Church where she eventually took responsibility of their food bank until failing health caused her to step aside. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Michael Blackwood. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, O.W. Johnson Jr., brother, Tony Haney of Tomball, TX, daughters: Ann Bowers of Deer Park, TX; Peggy Spurck of Ennis, TX; Sandra Swonke (Larry) of Centerville, TX; Kathy Johnson of Pasadena and Galveston, TX; her grandchildren, Louann Taylor, Eric Bowers, Aaron Bowers, Nori Rhodes, Greg Swonke, Tim Swonke, Gary Spurck Jr., Sara Clayton, Kelly Handrick , Christopher Swonke, Daniel Swonke, Melissa Swonke, Kara Wells and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Burial will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas at 2:00pm with Father Ron Feathers presiding.
